MailOnTheNet Help
What is MailOnTheNet?
MailOnTheNet allows anyone with a (normal) email address to check their email from anywhere. If you have an existing email account that you usually check from home and want to check it at work, you can do it from this web site. If you're out of town and on a public computer, use MailOnTheNet to check your email account.

What happens when I get back to my computer?
When you return to your computer, your messages go into your usual inbox (Microsoft Outlook Express, Netscape, Microsoft Mail and News, Eudora, or whatever program you're using) as they always do. The only exception to this is if you delete a message, it's really gone. If you delete a message using MailOnTheNet, it won't appear in your usual inbox either. Otherwise, you can read your mail using MailOnTheNet while on the road and have it appear normally when you get back to your usual computer.

How do I use it? Do I have to sign up? You don't have to sign up! This service is COMPLETELY FREE. Just go to MailOnTheNet.com and log in using the username, password, and mail server assigned by your email provider. We need to know your username and password so that your provider knows that it's you trying to access your email. Suppose that your email address is myname@myprovider.com. Your username is probably myname and your mail server is probably myprovider.com, pop.myprovider.com, mail.myprovider.com, or something similar. If you don't know what your mail server is, contact the company who is providing you with email services.

Does MailOnTheNet store my email, password, or other information?
Absolutely not! Feel free to read our Privacy Policy. We keep no record of who uses our services, their email, their address, their password, or anything else. Our server acts only as a gateway to that of your mail provider. We have no intention or reason to collect email addresses, passwords, or related information about our users. No information about you is kept on our server. All of your email remains on your mail provider's server at all times.

My AOL, AT&T, or university account doesn't work!
Many large companies like AOL, AT&T, and some universities use proprietary systems that do not allow standard email programs (like MailOnTheNet) to access them. However, if you're using America Online (AOL), you can check your mail at aol.com/netmail. If you're using AT&T, you can check your mail at netmail.att.net.

I have another question or problem!
Email us! We're still in the process of improving MailOnTheNet and more than happy to hear about any problems or suggestions you might have. Because every provider is different, we can't always promise a fix, but we'll try! You can contact us at webmaster@cermak.com.
